Digital mass flow data directly integrated into operational data collection

  • At its Dürnbach quarry in Austria, Baumit GmbH extracts limestone for building material production at its nearby plant.

  • To enable digital mass flow tracking in open-pit operations with automated data transfer to the company’s production reporting system, seven mining machines were retrofitted with abaut hardware: one hydraulic excavator, one wheel loader, four dumpers, and one drill rig.

  • These machines continuously send data to the SiteView OS platform, where it is analyzed for both raw material extraction and overburden movement. Once per day, the information is automatically transmitted to Baumit GmbH’s existing production reporting system via an interface.

  • Key production data such as extracted tonnage, number of transport cycles, and combinations of loading and haulage machines, is available, broken down by loading and unloading times as well as precise positional data for each event.

  • Time-consuming manual data collection is now a thing of the past.

  • Eine zeitaufwendige händische Erfassung der Daten kann künftig entfallen.
