Köhler Kalk is now connected to abaut’s AI-powered SiteView OS, giving the team one clear view of site performance in real time. Instead of relying on “it feels slow today,” the operation can see what’s happening across loading, hauling, dumping, and waiting times in one dashboard, so decisions are based on facts, not assumptions.
One clear view of performance in real time
In a quarry, the small delays are the ones that quietly add up. A few minutes of waiting at the loader, a short stop at the dump point, or a slower-than-usual loading cycle can turn into hours of lost production by the end of the shift. With SiteView OS, Köhler Kalk can track key process signals live and spot where time is being lost early, while there’s still time to fix it.
Less guesswork and faster downtime detection
When a stoppage happens, the worst part is often the uncertainty: where did it start, what caused it, and how long has it been going on? SiteView OS helps make downtime visible faster, so teams can react sooner, reduce knock-on effects, and keep material moving. It also creates clearer insight into loading and waiting times, making it easier to improve day by day.
Rock Size Indicator to protect the crusher
Köhler Kalk also uses abaut’s Rock Size Indicator feature, which helps prevent one of the most expensive disruptions in the plant: oversized rock entering the crusher. A maximum rock size can be set based on what the crusher can handle. Then, each shovel load is checked in real time, and if the rock size is too large, the machine operator gets an immediate warning, so they can avoid loading it and reduce the risk of a blocked crusher and unplanned downtime.
Why this matters for daily operations
With real-time transparency and rock size alerts working together, teams can:
Act faster when downtime starts, instead of finding out later
Reduce waiting time losses by seeing bottlenecks clearly
Protect the crusher by stopping oversized rock before it becomes a stoppage
Keep production moving with fewer surprises and cleaner routines
